  • The public can participate in events across 15 different settings, including museums and squares, in addition to wineries.
  • The heart of the event is the tasting counter, featuring masterclasses, direct wine sales, and food stalls.
  • We invite you to check the event calendar for dates and locations throughout May.

The Sabato del Vignaiolo returns, the annual event promoted by FIVIItalian Federation of Independent Winegrowers, with the support of Crédit Agricole. The 2026 edition introduces a significant update: no longer a single national day, but a calendar spread across every Saturday in May. A change designed to highlight the peninsula’s diverse climatic conditions and encourage greater regional participation.

The new format also allows for broader collaboration between local delegations. In several cases, regions will host winegrowers from other areas, creating opportunities for exchange and cross-tastings.

PARTICIPATING DELEGATIONS AND LOCATIONS

There are 21 local FIVI delegations that have joined the initiative, out of a total of 31 active ones. Among these, Asti, Alta Toscana, and Costa Toscana are making their organizational debut.

The public will be able to participate in events in 15 different settings. Not just wineries and farms, but also museums, historical monuments, city squares, and the Federation’s “Punti di Affezione.”

The delegations involved are: Abruzzo-Molise, Alessandria, Alta Toscana, Asti, Calabria, Chianti Classico-San Gimignano, Costa Toscana, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Langhe and Roero (with a joint event), Lazio, Liguria, Marche, Modena-Reggio Emilia, Oltrepò Pavese, Piacenza, Puglia, Romagna, Sicily, Treviso, and Verona.

FORMAT AND ACTIVITIES

The heart of the event remains the tasting counter. Here, winegrowers meet the public directly to share their work, their wines, and FIVI’s values. The program varies by delegation and includes:

  • masterclasses and in-depth sessions
  • direct wine sales
  • local artisans and food stalls with traditional products
  • musical performances and cultural initiatives

Sabato del Vignaiolo thus confirms itself as an opportunity to get a close look at vineyard work and regional specificities. We invite you to check the event calendar to find the dates and locations of interest during the month of May.
