  • The event aims to strengthen Bolzano’s position as a City of Wine, attracting enthusiasts and professionals from the wine sector.
  • Over 60 wineries will participate in the event, confirming its growing prestige.
  • The program includes four masterclasses and four wine-talks led by experts, alongside tastings.
  • On April 28, a press conference will be held in Milan to present the full program and the latest news from VINALTUM.

The bond between VINALTUM and the South Tyrolean territory is strengthening. The 2026 edition of the festival dedicated to Italian and international wine excellence, scheduled for May 17 and 18 at Castel Mareccio, has obtained the patronage of the Bolzano Tourist Board, which joins the project as an institutional partner.

A collaboration born from a shared vision: to strengthen the role of Bolzano as a City of Wine, capable of attracting enthusiasts and industry operators through events with an international profile and a strong territorial identity.

“I am particularly happy that a new wine event is occupying the spaces of Castel Mareccio, which is particularly suited for hosting initiatives of great international appeal and prestige,” declares Roland Buratti. “There is no better place in the city, surrounded as it is by two hectares of precious Lagrein. Our collaboration was spontaneous and immediate, as the event fits perfectly into our strategy as a City of Wine.”

GROWING PARTICIPATION AND MORE SPACE FOR EDUCATION

Just weeks before opening, VINALTUM 2026 has recorded the participation of over 60 wineries selected from Italian and international producers. This figure confirms the event’s growth and its positioning among the reference appointments for the sector.

The program also includes four masterclasses and four wine-talks led by experts, which will run alongside the tastings during the two days.

“We are thrilled to see how VINALTUM is becoming an increasingly recognized point of reference,” comments Danilo D’Ambra. “The collaboration with the Bolzano Tourist Board represents an important step: it means the territory believes in this project and recognizes it as part of its own cultural and food and wine identity.”

MASTERCLASSES AND CONTENT: THE HEART OF THE EVENT

Educational activities remain central to the festival’s offering. “Masterclasses are the educational heart of VINALTUM,” adds Luciano Rappo. “Each edition, we design them as rare opportunities where wine becomes a tool for knowledge and storytelling. This year the level is rising even further, both for the speakers and for the selection of featured labels.”

TOWARDS THE OFFICIAL PRESENTATION IN MILAN

The next appointment is set for April 28 in Milan, with the press conference presenting the full program. The meeting will be held at the Park Hyatt Milan, a venue chosen for its consistency with the event’s positioning. On that occasion, details of the participating companies, masterclasses, and news of the third edition will be announced, aiming to further consolidate its role in the food and wine landscape.
