  • An exclusive tasting with Château d’Yquem accompanied the event, attracting top clients and collectors.

  • The first session recorded over €410,000 thanks to a single-owner collection, with top pieces like Montrachet 2005 at €16,120.
  • The Italian session closed the auction with €228,036, highlighting bottles of Barolo and Sassicaia.

A total of €1,140,475 and 170% of initial estimates. These are the figures from the “La Joie du Vin” auction organized by the Fine and Collectible Wines department of Pandolfini, held on Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10. A result that confirms the strength of the fine wine market and the growing interest of collectors and investors.

The 2026 edition saw a significant collaboration with Château d’Yquem, featuring an exclusive tasting led by CEO Lorenzo Pasquini along with Gabriele Gorelli MW. The auction house’s top clients were able to taste historic vintages – 2016, 2006, 1996 and 1986 – as well as the 2023 vintage as a national preview.

Pasquini recounted the history of the Château, active for over four centuries and described as an “emblem of ancestral and artisanal savoir-faire.”

COLLABORATION AND RARE LOTS

The partnership, also made possible thanks to the négociants Château Mestrezat and Sarzi Amadè, allowed for the inclusion of lots of particular rarity and storage quality in the catalog. Among these, two historic bottles stand out: Yquem 1937 sold for €16,790 and Yquem 1920 sold for €12,848.
