Reaching the milestone of twenty editions of Enovitis in Campo, the traveling showcase by Unione Italiana Vini (UIV) dedicated to viticulture technologies and a national reference point for vineyard machinery and equipment. After last year’s stop in Abruzzo, the next appointment is set for June 17-18 in Tuscany, in the Chianti Classico territory.
The event will be hosted for the first time at Tenuta di Nozzole, in Greve in Chianti (Florence), a property of the Folonari family. The event will bring practical demonstrations of machinery and equipment in operation among the rows, alongside technical and educational meetings dedicated to the world of viticulture.
TECHNOLOGIES AND VINEYARD TRIALS
Enovitis in Campo offers an immersive format designed for wine estates, oenologists, agronomists, technicians, and winegrowers interested in the latest technologies for vineyard management.
At the heart of the showcase will be dynamic demonstrations and in-depth sessions on the main innovations in the sector: from robotics to the electrification of agricultural machinery, from soil and canopy management to organic farming techniques. Space will also be given to solutions related to crop protection products, biostimulants, and materials for vineyard establishment.
The event thus maintains its main characteristic: bringing technologies directly into the field, allowing operators to observe equipment in action and engage with manufacturers and technicians.
TUSCANY AMONG THE KEY REGIONS OF ITALIAN WINE
The choice of Tuscany for the twentieth edition reflects the region’s weight in the national wine landscape. With nearly 60 denominations including DOCG, DOC, and IGT and a vineyard area of approximately 61,000 hectares, Tuscany is the seventh Italian region by production, with 2.2 million hectoliters in 2025. However, the territory holds a leading position in exports: Tuscan wine exports account for nearly 15% of Italian wine sales on international markets.
TENUTA DI NOZZOLE, IN THE HEART OF CHIANTI CLASSICO
The venue chosen for the 2025 edition is Tenuta di Nozzole, located in the municipality of Greve in Chianti. The property has belonged to the Folonari family since 1971, but its origins date back to a noble farm from the 14th century. The estate covers 385 hectares in total, of which approximately 75 hectares are dedicated to specialized vineyards and 15 to olive groves. The main grape variety is Sangiovese, the foundation of the Chianti Classico wines produced on the estate.
Among the labels are “Nozzole” Chianti Classico DOCG, “La Forra” Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, and two Gran Selezione DOCG from the Panzano and Greve in Chianti areas. Production also includes Chardonnay Toscana IGT “Le Bruniche,” Cabernet Sauvignon Toscana IGT “Il Pareto,” and a Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC.
THE FOLONARI FAMILY ESTATES
In addition to Nozzole, the Folonari family owns four other wine estates in Tuscany: Tenute del Cabreo, Tenuta La Fuga in Montalcino, Tenuta Campo al Mare in Bolgheri, and Vigne a Porrona in the Grosseto Maremma.
Overall, the group has approximately 250 hectares of vineyards in the region’s main wine territories. Annual production reaches 1.2 million bottles with a turnover of approximately €11 million. The vineyards are 100% certified and managed according to integrated agricultural practices that are more restrictive than required parameters, with an approach that aims to integrate agricultural activity with social and territorial benefits.
