From May 18 to 31, Planteray Rum brings Tropical Week to Italy, an initiative dedicated to mixology involving 18 venues across the country. The project aims to promote contemporary rum culture through dedicated drink lists and a series of guest shifts with industry professionals.

At the heart of the activation is the Daiquiri prepared with Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum, one of the most recognizable references in the Planteray range. Each participating venue will offer cocktails designed to convey the brand’s identity and its interpretation of mixology.

The official opening of the calendar is scheduled with two inaugural events: May 18 in Milan and May 19 in Turin. Grazia Di Franco will be the protagonist of the first events, leading the initial stops of the tour.

FROM MILAN TO LIVORNO, THE TOUR CROSSES ITALY

After the inaugural dates, Tropical Week will continue with a series of guest shifts in various Italian cities. The calendar will visit Bari, Naples, Genoa, and Livorno, involving some of the partner venues of the initiative. Information about the stops will be shared through the brand’s Italian social channels.

A symbolic element of the entire journey will be a custom Planteray tiki torch, created by artisan Paul Campese. The torch will accompany all stops of the event, passing from venue to venue until the final handover scheduled in Livorno.

THE CONNECTION WITH TIKITALY

Tropical Week is part of the Tikitaly program, an event dedicated to tiki culture scheduled in Livorno from May 29 to June 1. The event will bring together beverage professionals, musicians, and international artisan realities.

On May 31, Planteray will host a masterclass led by Jonas Elias together with Valentina Bertino. The session will focus on the brand’s production philosophy and the role of rum in contemporary mixology.

For the occasion, Dirty Dick, a Parisian cocktail bar, will also be present as an international guest with Scotty Schuder. Closing the two weeks of activity will be Bootleg, the brand’s Italian flagship, which on June 1 will participate in Tikitaly with a dedicated guest shift.
