The Fabbri Amarena Jar becomes a collector’s stamp

Presented at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, created by Poste Italiane and dedicated to the historic Bologna-based company, it celebrates an all-Italian excellence

The unmistakable ceramic jar with blue and white decorations, surrounded by black cherries and topped with the company logo. This is the design created by Poste Italiane for Fabbri 1905 and unveiled in the presence of the Undersecretary of State with responsibility for philately, Fausta Bergamotto, at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy. The Bologna-based company is in fact among those selected for the thematic stamp series “Excellence of the production system and Made in Italy” dedicated to the food sector.

Further confirmation of how Fabbri 1905’s iconography is now part of Italy’s cultural heritage. The characteristic decoration of the Amarena Fabbri jar had, in fact, already entered the Register of Historic Italian Brands established by the Ministry of Economic Development in 2022. In 2019, the 600g opaline jar was exhibited at the MoMA Design Store in New York along with other products that have made the history of Made in Italy, not to mention the landmark ruling by the Shanghai People’s Court which, in 2020, recognized the unmistakable white and blue Amarena Fabbri jar as inimitable even in China.
