Riding the wave of enthusiasm generated by the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Livigno strengthens its path of promoting its territorial excellence. Culture, sports, and food and wine become tools for telling the story of the alpine destination’s identity, which after the spotlight of major events continues to promote its tradition through local products and cuisine.

In this context, Tas’t was born, a project that transforms breakfast into an experience tied to local culture. In participating hotels, alongside the traditional buffet, a “Livigno Breakfast Corner” is set up, dedicated to typical specialties prepared according to recipes passed down over time.

The project offers a selection of sweets, breads, and savory products that represent the destination’s gastronomic tradition. Among the preparations featured are Bisc’cöt da Livign, Tórta da Rosina, and Tórta da l’indoménia, along with savory specialties such as Bondiöla, Brasc’carola, Pancéta, and Salam da Báita. Completing the offering are artisanal breads and alpine cheeses, expressions of the seasons and mountain environment.

GASTRONOMIC CULTURE AND LOCAL SUPPLY CHAIN

Tas’t is part of a broader path of promoting local gastronomic culture and the territorial supply chain. A central role is played by the Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of Livigno (ACPL), an organization founded in spring 2001 with the goal of preserving and passing on the community’s culinary traditions.

The association brings together hospitality professionals who work to keep the territory’s historic recipes alive. Among the activities promoted are events, courses, and cultural initiatives dedicated to local cuisine. The commitment to protecting gastronomic heritage found editorial expression in the volume Leina da Sao’r, a publication that collects 100 traditional recipes, 37 reinterpretations, and over 250 photographs. The book also includes the preparations that are part of the Tas’t project.

TRADITION AND HOSPITALITY

Through these gastronomic experiences, Livigno tells the story of the territory and its culinary traditions. Typical products and historic recipes become tools for narrating local culture and the work of alpine communities. After attracting international attention thanks to major sporting events, the destination continues to promote its identity through gastronomy, offering visitors an experience that combines hospitality, tradition, and territorial culture.
