  • During the inauguration, the focus was on typical products such as Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano, paired with Enrico Serafino Alta Langa wines.
  • The acquisition of Enrico Serafino in 2015 marked the Krause Group’s entry into the world of Italian wine.

The Ennio Tardini Stadium in Parma is expanding its hospitality offering with the inauguration of the Enrico Serafino Lounge, a new space dedicated to premium hospitality that combines sport, wine, and conviviality. The project stems from the collaboration between Parma Calcio 1913 and Enrico Serafino 1878, both part of Krause Group Italia, and is part of a broader strategy to reimagine the stadium experience.

The lounge is designed as a meeting place before and after the match. Its approach focuses on high-quality hospitality and the promotion of wine as a cultural element, rather than just an accessory.

FOOTBALL AND WINE: AN ITALIAN (CULTURAL) DUO

In Italy, football and wine have always shared a common language: that of socializing. From the taverns that buzz before the match to the celebrations after the final whistle, wine accompanies the popular football ritual. It is no coincidence that Italian songs have often depicted this imagery, from provincial stadiums to set tables and shared glasses, from Francesco De Gregori to Lucio Dalla, through the musical narrative that has made football a part of daily life.

The Enrico Serafino Lounge fits perfectly into this tradition, translating it with a modern and innovative spirit into a contemporary and structured format, without distorting its original meaning.

THE KRAUSE GROUP VISION AT THE TARDINI STADIUM IN PARMA

The project reflects the vision of Kyle J. Krause, the American entrepreneur and founder of Krause Group, an international holding company active in various sectors including sport, hospitality, real estate, and wine. In Italy, the group is present with Parma Calcio 1913, the Enrico Serafino and Vietti wineries, and the Casa di Langa resort in the heart of the Langhe region.

Krause’s approach does not seem oriented toward traditional sponsorship, but rather toward creating ecosystems where sport, the local territory, and food and wine culture engage in a coherent and lasting dialogue.

“Being able to unite two Italian stories like football and wine,” stated Kyle J. Krause, “is a dream come true. We have waited a long time for the inauguration of the Enrico Serafino Lounge at the Tardini stadium in Parma, a city designated by UNESCO as a Creative City of Gastronomy.”

ALTA LANGA FOR THE INAUGURATION OF THE ENRICO SERAFINO LOUNGE

All the more reason to pair, during the inaugural evening, 24-month Prosciutto di Parma PDO, 29-month Parmigiano Reggiano PDO, and sweet Parmigiano Reggiano focaccia with Parmigiano cream with three Alta Langa classic method sparkling wines produced by the Enrico Serafino winery.

Selected by the historic Piedmontese company’s winemaker, Paolo Giacosa: Parcellaire 2020 Extra Brut (90/100 Winemag), Zero Riserva 2019 Pas Dosé Blanc de Noirs (93/100 Winemag), and Zero 140 Riserva Pas Dosé Giove (96/100 Winemag). A focus on the winery’s bold choice to bet on Pinot Nero, even with low sugar dosages and long aging before release. “It’s no coincidence,” Giacosa emphasized, “that we were the first to propose ‘pas dosé’ in Alta Langa, back in 2004.”

WINE IN THE KRAUSE GROUP STRATEGY

The Krause Group’s entry into the world of Italian wine began in 2015 with the acquisition of Enrico Serafino, a historic Piedmontese winery founded in 1878, followed in 2016 by Vietti, one of the iconic names of the Langhe.

Today, these two companies represent the core of the group’s wine portfolio, with a positioning oriented toward quality, the promotion of Piedmontese denominations, and a long-term vision. There is a particular focus on Alta Langa, Barolo, and Barbaresco, as well as great Piedmontese sparkling and red wines.

“For us,” commented Giulia Bettagno, Head of Wine at Krause Group, “the Lounge represents a unique opportunity to bring the world of wine to life in a new and dynamic context. Every detail is designed to convey the passion and care we put into our wineries, offering guests an authentic and engaging experience.”

“The opening of the Enrico Serafino Lounge,” added Federico Cherubini, CEO of Parma Calcio, “further enriches the experience for our fans and guests, offering an elegant and welcoming space that combines sports with high-level social moments.”
