On the Ritten plateau, in Soprabolzano, a new hospitality project by the Holzner family—already owners of the Parkhotel—is taking shape. It is called Bella Posta and will officially open in the spring of 2026. The new hotel was born with the goal of proposing an idea of hospitality that combines South Tyrolean tradition and contemporary vision, in a natural setting just a few kilometers from Bolzano.
The property will also be easily accessible thanks to the cable car connecting the provincial capital to the plateau, a scenic route through the mountain landscape. Bella Posta will offer over twenty rooms, designed with an essential and comfortable style, and a spa dedicated to wellness. The project focuses on bright spaces and a direct relationship with the surrounding environment, enhancing the location of Soprabolzano, a historic Alpine resort in South Tyrol.
BELLA POSTA AND THE IDEA OF CONTEMPORARY HOSPITALITY
“The Bella Posta project stems from the desire to create something new and authentic, a simple yet refined place where hospitality is experienced in a spontaneous and contemporary way. The idea is to offer a relaxed experience, far from the patterns of the classic traditional hotel,” says Monica Holzner, director of the Parkhotel and creator of the project.
Set in the quiet context of Soprabolzano, Bella Posta presents itself as a contemporary retreat that interprets the spirit of the place. The structure has undergone a complete renovation. “More than a reopening, it is a complete rebirth. The building has been totally renovated and redesigned to host a new, independent project that does not link back to past history but looks forward, with a young and informal approach,” adds Holzner.
The stated goal is to offer a stay characterized by simplicity and attention to detail, targeting an audience seeking peace, as well as those wishing to rediscover the atmosphere of Alpine vacations reinterpreted in a modern key.
FOOD, SPA, AND COMMON SPACES BETWEEN DESIGN AND NATURE
One of the central elements of the Bella Posta project is the organization of common spaces, designed as places for meeting and conviviality. The Dolce Vita All Day service will accompany guests throughout the day with offerings that combine South Tyrolean tradition and classic Italian cuisine, using seasonal ingredients. “Dolce Vita All Day reflects the free and convivial spirit of Bella Posta: no formality, but rather the opportunity to enjoy a good coffee, a light dish, or an aperitif at any time of the day, always in a relaxed and sunny atmosphere,” explains Holzner.
Alongside the dining service, the Trust Bar will be a space dedicated to informal moments, from afternoon coffee to evening aperitifs, with a selection of cocktails and wines. The garden represents the green heart of the hotel and follows the rhythm of the seasons, becoming a place for rest and outdoor relaxation. Completing the offer are the spa with a pool, conceived as an intimate and silent environment, and the proximity to the Ritten trails, a starting point for hikes and walks with views of the Dolomites. Bella Posta thus joins the South Tyrolean hospitality scene as an independent project that looks to the future while maintaining a bond with the territory.
