The Roof at Habita79 Pompeii: signature cuisine and mixology, with Vesuvius view

In Pompeii, a hospitality concept is taking shape that combines contemporary dining, signature cocktails, and one of Campania’s most iconic views. The Roof, rooftop bar and restaurant at Habita79 Pompeii MGallery Collection, is now one of the gastronomic and mixology landmarks of the Vesuvian area. Thanks to its glass roof, the space is accessible year-round and offers the chance to experience the archaeological city from an elevated perspective, overlooking Vesuvius and the Excavations.

Located on the hotel’s top floor, just steps from the Archaeological Park, The Roof spans approximately one thousand square meters and features an offering that integrates dining, cocktail bar, and social moments, maintaining a setting consistent with the historical and landscape context.

CONTEMPORARY CUISINE BETWEEN TERRITORY AND SEASONALITY

The cuisine at The Roof is entrusted to chef Roberto Lepre, who works on a contemporary reinterpretation of Campanian gastronomic tradition. The menu is based on local ingredients and a construction of dishes that favors the balance between contemporary technique and territorial memory.

Seasonality guides the choices, with preparations that aim for recognizable flavors and essential presentation. The gastronomic offering fits into an informal yet refined context, designed both for restaurant service and for more casual enjoyment throughout different times of day.

SIGNATURE MIXOLOGY AND CAMPANIAN IDENTITY

Alongside the cuisine, the beverage offering represents one of the central elements of the experience. The drink list is created by Ferdinando Longobardi, a nationally recognized bartender. The mixology at The Roof moves between territorial interpretation and contemporary approach.

The cocktails tell the story of Campania through ingredients, aromas, and chromatic references, with balanced construction and particular attention to drinkability. The result is an offering that dialogues with the cuisine and helps define the venue’s identity as a reference cocktail bar in the area.

THE ROOF AND THE IDENTITY OF HABITA79

The Roof represents the most contemporary expression of Habita79 Pompeii MGallery Collection, a hotel created in an early twentieth-century building and renovated in 2021. The architectural project, designed by Giuliano dell’Uva and Gianluca Marangi, transformed the structure into the “home of a contemporary Grand Tour traveler.”

The interiors combine elements of historical design and modern languages, photographic works by Luciano Romano dedicated to archaeology, and glazed ceramics created specifically for the hotel. The 79 rooms, inspired by Pompeian domus, maintain the same aesthetic coherence.

EVENTS, TASTINGS, AND ROOFTOP LIFE

Throughout the year, The Roof hosts themed tastings, mixology events, and musical evenings, integrating the gastronomic offering with moments of exploration and entertainment. A calendar that helps make the rooftop a dynamic space, frequented both by hotel guests and external visitors.

Habita79 Pompeii MGallery Collection adopts solutions oriented toward environmental sustainability, in line with Accor group policies. The trigeneration system reduces energy impact, while digital control of systems optimizes consumption.

A NEW VANTAGE POINT ON POMPEII

There are charging stations for electric cars in partnership with Enel X, and the property is working toward international Green Key certification. Pompeii remains one of Italy’s most visited cultural destinations. The Roof fits into this context by offering a different point of view, where dining and spirits become tools for telling the story of the territory. A place that unites cuisine, cocktails, and landscape. Contributing to redefining the gastronomic and mixology offering of the Vesuvian area.
