From May 28 to 30, 2026, Conegliano will host the 79th National Congress of Assoenologi, an event dedicated to the world of oenology and Italian viticulture. The event will take place at the Teatro Accademia and the Fiera di Santa Lucia in Piave.
The theme chosen for the 2026 edition is “The School of Wine – Markets, young people and new oenological challenges“. At the heart of the congress is a discussion on transformations in the wine sector, covering innovation, sustainability, internationalization, communication and changes in consumption.
Institutional guests expected at the opening day include Agriculture Minister Francesco Lollobrigida, Tourism Minister Gianmarco Mazzi, Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, European Commissioner for Agriculture Christophe Hansen, MEP Dario Nardella, ICE President Matteo Zoppas and Luca Zaia. An address by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is also expected.
WINE, HEALTH AND NEW GENERATIONS
A significant part of the program will be dedicated to the relationship between wine, health and young consumers. The schedule includes talk shows, scientific discussions and exchanges between businesses, universities, the healthcare sector and communications, all aimed at addressing the new cultural and social challenges facing the industry.
Over the three days, technical presentations, round tables, tastings and sessions dedicated to wine tourism, sustainability and technological innovations applied to the wine supply chain will alternate, with participation from industry companies.
