A Christmas tree made of tractors will light up Montefalco. The initiative is promoted by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco together with local farmers and with the collaboration of city institutions. The event is scheduled for today, Sunday, December 21, on the occasion of the third edition of an event celebrating agricultural work and the role of those who care for the land. In the Viale della Vittoria area, a giant Christmas tree will take shape, made with tractors from local farmers. The headlights will simulate Christmas lights, transforming holiday greetings into a collective image of belonging and rural identity.
THE VALUE OF THE AGRICULTURAL CHAIN
With this initiative, the Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco reaffirms an inclusive vision of the wine production chain. Alongside the wineries, there is room for winegrowers, grape producers and, more generally, those who work the land every day. A presence considered essential for the identity, economic strength and cultural value of the territory. Numerous agricultural vehicles will participate in creating the Tractor Tree, not only from Montefalco but also from neighboring municipalities. The tractors come from the area of the denominations protected by the Consorzio, testifying to widespread and shared involvement.

“We want this event to be first and foremost a sign of closeness and gratitude toward those who oversee the territory with their work,” emphasizes the president of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco, Paolo Bartoloni. “I firmly believe that telling the story and promoting our wines means starting, first of all, from the territory. Christmas is a time of community and gratitude: and our viticulture is born first and foremost in the fields, from the daily commitment of women and men who make the excellence of our denominations possible.”

The Tractor Tree is also an invitation to bring the wines of the territory to holiday tables. A call to the moments of gathering and conviviality of Christmas, in dialogue with local dishes and traditions. During the Christmas period, total consumption close to one million bottles from wineries in the area protected by the Consorzio is estimated.
