Three operations in Sicily (Marsala), Piedmont (Langhe) and Lombardy (Valtellina) mark 2025 for Veraison Group. The holding company majority-owned by FreedL Group, the personal financial group of Edoardo Freddi, closes the year with 7% growth and formalizes its equity stake in Cantine Alcesti, the completion of the joint venture with Vallebelbo and taking over management of the Conti Sertoli Salis brand. The acquisitions are part of the 2025-2027 development plan, oriented toward building territorial platforms and strengthening exports.

VERAISON GROUP, ACQUISITION OF CANTINE ALCESTI IN MARSALA

On November 28, 2025, Veraison Group formalized its equity stake in Cantine Alcesti, a company based in Marsala, in western Sicily. The operation aims to develop a strategic hub for Sicilian wine exports.

The company has 50 hectares of vineyards between Marsala, Mazara and Salemi, located between 100 and 280 meters above sea level. The grape varieties cultivated are Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d’Avola and Syrah. The production facility extends over 8,000 square meters, with a processing capacity of 10,000 hectoliters and a bottling line of 3,000 bottles per hour. The goal is to consolidate volumes and presence in international markets.

VERAISON-VALLEBELBO JOINT VENTURE AND MOSCATO D’ASTI DOCG DEVELOPMENT

In Piedmont, the joint venture agreement with Vallebelbo has been completed. The cooperative maintains its own governance and the role of member winegrowers, continuing to produce Moscato d’Asti DOCG and other regional denominations such as Barbera, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto.

The agreement provides for industrial and commercial integration. The collaboration involves over 300 hectares of vineyards, about 100 winegrowers and an annual production of 4 million bottles. The plan calls for doubling commercialization to 7-8 million bottles, also through new formats and products.

THE CONTI SERTOLI SALIS BRAND (VALTELLINA) TO VERAISON GROUP

The third operation concerns taking over management of the Conti Sertoli Salis brand, a historic reference point in Valtellina. The initiative is conducted through Heroica Srl and aims at the international relaunch of the brand. Conti Sertoli Salis is linked to Valtellina’s terraced viticulture, characterized by manual work and strong territorial identity.

“These operations,” comments Edoardo Freddi, CEO of Veraison Group, “represent more than an investment: they are an act of faith in the territories, the people and their stories. We believe that the future of Italian wine lies in intelligent aggregation: bringing together capital, vision and local identities allows us to build something that no one could create alone. Sicily, Langhe and Valtellina are three extraordinary worlds, different but complementary, that today speak with a new voice: that of courage, excellence and international ambition.”

VERAISON 2025-2027 PLAN AND EXPORT FOCUS IN 70 MARKETS

The three operations involving Cantine Alcesti, Vallebelbo and Conti Sertoli Salis are part of Veraison Group’s 2025-2027 industrial plan. The strategy includes the creation of specialized production hubs, the development of brands with international positioning and the strengthening of distribution in over 70 markets, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, China, Vietnam and Australia.

Among the guidelines also investments in technology, sustainability and human resources. Further operations are planned for 2026: two in the first quarter and one in the second, described as “of primary importance.”
