Estia Verë Roze 2024 by Kantina Arianiti is the best rosé wine in the Balkans. For the first time, Albania triumphs at the Wine Vision by Open Balkan Wine Trophy in Belgrade, a wine competition organized in conjunction with the fair of the same name held from November 22 to 25 in the Serbian capital.
Estia Verë Roze 2024 BEST BALKAN ROSÉ
This is a rosé produced in the Dukas area, in the Fier district of Albania. Estia Verë Roze 2024 is made from 100% Shesh i Zi grapes, a native Albanian variety. A beautiful coral pink to the eye, it features an attractive and generous nose, balancing floral and fruity notes. Luscious hints of red fruit such as cherry, raspberry, and strawberry on a bed of fresh, hand-picked roses.
Rich and elegant on the palate, perfectly matching the notes perceived on the nose, it is appreciated both as a fresh, easy-drinking wine and as a perfect accompaniment to dishes of similar structure, from seafood to lightly prepared white meats.
Kantina Arianiti: a faithful reflection of native Albanian grape varieties
Kantina Arianiti is based in Patos, in the Fier region. A relatively young player on the Albanian scene, it was founded in 2017 by brothers Agron and Bledari Arianiti, following their father’s initial steps in the sector. A modern winery, it is appreciated for its oenological precision and the strong territorial character of its wines across the entire range.
The award for best Balkan rosé given by the Balkan Wine Trophy 2025 to Estia Verë Roze 2024 confirms Kantina Arianiti as one of Albania’s most dynamic and authentic wineries. The production philosophy is centered precisely on the authentic expression of indigenous varieties. Among these, Shesh i Bardhë stands out for whites and Shesh i Zi for reds.
