Roi Clar becomes Srl: towards ESG certification

The Colli Orientali del Friuli winery enters a new phase with three new partners: Sergio Coccia, Alberto Petris and Mauro Angelin. The winemaking project and commitment to sustainability and transparent governance are strengthened.

Roi Clar, a historic winery in the Colli Orientali del Friuli based in Villa Beria, has completed a decisive transition by transforming from a simple partnership to a Limited Liability Company (Srl). The change, formalized on July 11, 2025, marks the beginning of a new phase of consolidation and development.

Alongside founder Raffaele Petris, three new partners join the company: Sergio Coccia, Alberto Petris and Mauro Angelin. The project continues to be overseen by winemaker Michele Bean, a consultant with experience in some of the leading Italian and international wine estates.

CONNECTION TO THE TERRITORY

ROI CLAR’s production is a direct expression of Friulian viticulture and the desire to best interpret the potential of Colli Orientali. The wine range includes Pinot Grigio Ramato, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Ribolla Gialla Spumantizzata Dosaggio Zero, as well as Merlot obtained from century-old vines.

A distinctive element is the use of ceramic amphorae for winemaking and aging. A practice that recalls ancient methods, now rediscovered in Friuli Venezia Giulia, which helps produce authentic wines characterized by elegance and depth.

TOWARDS ESG CERTIFICATION

Alongside the corporate transformation, Roi Clar embarks on a journey towards ESG certification in wine. With the goal of integrating environmental sustainability, social responsibility and transparency in governance.

The winery intends to build a business model capable of combining economic development and environmental respect, paying attention to people’s well-being and the challenges of the global market. A vision that looks to the future without losing its connection to local roots.

STRATEGY AND MARKETS

Present at Vinitaly for years, Roi Clar aims to strengthen its position in both the Italian and international markets. The strategy includes expanding the distribution network and promoting the brand as a benchmark for wine production in Colli Orientali del Friuli.

With the corporate evolution and the path towards ESG certification, the company positions itself as an example of modern Friulian viticulture, attentive to innovation yet faithful to its traditions.
