Change at the top for Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute. Davide Profeti is the company’s new CEO. He succeeds Bruno Alvisini, who concludes his professional journey after ten years at the helm of the company. Profeti took office on Monday, May 4, 2026. He brings with him experience gained in both consumer goods and the Italian wine sector, with a particular focus on the Chianti Classico region.

IN THE SPIRIT OF CHIANTI CLASSICO

During his career, Davide Profeti has worked for international groups such as Procter & Gamble, Bolton Group, and Mars Inc.. Subsequently, he developed twenty years of experience in the wine sector, holding top roles in companies linked to Tuscan production and Chianti Classico. These include Marchesi Mazzei, Castelli del Grevepesa, Agricola San Felice, and Tenute Piccini.

Profeti takes over from Bruno Alvisini, a manager with experience in historic Italian beverage companies such as Cinzano, Gancia Spumanti, Martini & Rossi, Cantine Florio, and Duca di Salaparuta of the ILLVA Saronno group.
