Sequerciani is the Organic Winery of the year in the 2026 Winemag Guide. A project, that of the Gavorrano (Grosseto) winery, which goes far beyond just wine. Territory and nature are at the center of a true microcosm. The estate, founded by Swiss entrepreneur Ruedi Gerber and led by a young and dynamic team, operates according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with Demeter Italia certification.
The 2026 Winemag Guide award goes to the commitment and passion of the estate that has made the enhancement of nature its cornerstone. Not only that. The winery from the Tuscan Maremma also wins the award for Best Pét-Nat, with its Ancestrale sparkling rosé wine. One of those “bubbles” that can now be found everywhere around the world, but that few really know how to make, preserving the varietal and thus aiming for authenticity.
