Podere La Regola is the 2026 Central Italy Winery of the Year in the Winemag Guide. The soul of the estate lies with brothers Flavio and Luca Nuti, true enthusiasts and promoters of a corner of Tuscany that deserves great attention on the wine map: Riparbella, in the province of Pisa. We are in the Val di Cecina territory, along the Etruscan Coast. A wine region of great tradition, which Podere La Regola interprets with consistency and quality throughout its entire range.
From the same winery, the Best Italian Red Wine 2026: Costa Toscana Rosso Igt 2021 Strido. In reality, it is a song: that of a Merlot playing the notes of Riparbella. It elevates this Tuscan microcosm to an essential destination for anyone wishing to go beyond the obvious.

In the area where the new winery was recently built, remains of an ancient Etruscan settlement (7th century BC) and numerous wine amphorae were found, testifying to this territory’s vocation for viticulture.
The loose, well-draining soil, consisting mainly of Pliocene sands rich in shell fossils, with a percentage of clay, a stratification of iron-rich rocks and minerals, and south-southeast solar exposure of the vine rows, favors optimal grape ripening, resulting in fine wines with structure and remarkable persistence.
