From January 26 to 28, 2026, the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier will host the 33rd edition of Millésime Bio, the largest international trade fair dedicated to organic wines and alcoholic beverages. The event, organized by SudVinBio, will feature a renewed format while maintaining its identity: a marketing-free exhibition space with identical stands for all exhibitors.
NEW EXHIBITION FORMAT
The main innovation concerns the organization of spaces. The pavilions will be divided by major regions and countries, while maintaining mixed denominations, the trade fair’s stylistic signature. The goal is to improve the experience for visitors and make the range of products available for tasting clearer.
BIODYNAMIC SPACE AND NO-LOW AREA
Following the debut of the Biodyvin space in 2025, the 2026 edition will also welcome Demeter-certified producers. This will make it possible to explore the entire spectrum of the biodynamic approach. Also debuting is an area entirely dedicated to organic no-low beverages, a rapidly growing segment worldwide.
TURNKEY VINEYARD TOURS
Millésime Bio 2026 will also offer the opportunity to organize visits to vineyards in Occitania and neighboring regions, before or after the three days of the trade fair. The initiative, created with tourism and business travel operators, aims to combine sourcing with discovery of the territory.
A COMPLEX SCENARIO FOR ORGANIC
The event takes place in a context marked by declining organic vineyard acreage and a slowdown in conversions in 2024, the first year to buck the trend in the sector’s history. Despite this, demand continues to grow, with sales increasing in almost all channels, except large-scale retail, which accounts for less than 7% of total organic wine revenue.
MILLÉSIME BIO BY THE NUMBERS
In 2025, the event brought together 1,500 exhibitors from 15 countries, for a total of over 10,000 labels presented. Over three days of the fair, approximately 10,000 trade professionals are expected: importers, distributors, sommeliers, restaurateurs, and buyers from large-scale retail and specialty stores.
THE 2026 CHALLENGE
On January 13 and 14, 2026, the Millésime Bio Challenge will be held, the world’s largest competition for organic wines and beers. 1,800 wines and 150 beers will be tasted, evaluated by juries composed of buyers, sommeliers, producers, and journalists. The award-winning samples will be available at the dedicated tasting counter during the trade fair.
