Starting January 1, 2026, Alius Antulis will lead Carlsberg Italia. The manager takes over from Olivier Dubost after fourteen years with the Group and an international career at the helm of subsidiaries in Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. The stated objective is to consolidate the business of the third-largest national beer producer, which exceeds 1.1 million hectoliters per year, and support the growth of the company’s brands.
NEW LEADERSHIP FOR CARLSBERG ITALIA
“I am thrilled to join the Carlsberg Italia team – says Antulis – and to lead it with the goal of further consolidating the business of a company that, thanks to the Angelo Poretti Brewery in Induno Olona, has strong roots in the country and which, with its various brands, expresses both its international spirit and its commitment to Made in Italy. I want to continue the strategy and path created over these years, with a view to further growth according to a business model that combines economic growth with attention to people and the Planet, through a vision oriented toward innovation and sustainability.”
With over twenty years of experience in the brewing sector, Antulis arrives at the helm of the Italian company after a career developed primarily in the commercial and sales area. At Carlsberg, he held the role of Sales Director in Bulgaria until 2021 and, subsequently, that of Managing Director of Carlsberg Azerbaijan.
THE HANDOVER FROM OLIVIER DUBOST
Antulis takes over from Olivier Dubost, Managing Director of Carlsberg Italia since July 2022. During this period, the company strengthened its position in the Italian market, expanding its brand portfolio and consolidating its commercial strategy. Dubost now moves on to lead Brasseries Kronenbourg in France as President and CEO.
During his tenure in Italy, Dubost promoted the Growth Culture in 2024, a strategic approach focused on valuing people as a lever for change. He also supported investments in the Angelo Poretti Brewery in Induno Olona and in the product portfolio, some of which received the “Product of the Year” recognition for two consecutive years.
“It is a source of pride for me to have led Carlsberg Italia and to work in synergy with all the people who contribute daily to the growth of our company, as evidenced by the excellent work done over these years by every employee – says Dubost -. I leave Carlsberg Italia in the hands of a highly experienced manager, who will guide the company toward new milestones and successes, working in synergy with a team of highly qualified professionals, with whom it has been an honor for me to share these three years of work, which have seen us grow increasingly in the sector.”
