Back to the Wine returns to Venice, scheduled for November 9 and 10 at Terminal 103. At a time when the wine market is experiencing a phase of contraction and searching for new directions, the event relaunches a clear message: wine is culture, territory, relationship, and pleasure. Not an end, but a means. The fair presents itself as a space for meeting and reflection, an independent market, and a cultural platform.

With the lagoon as a backdrop and the sunset visible from the Terminal, Back to the Wine presents itself as an experience that defies conventional definitions. The event is aimed at industry professionals, wine lovers, journalists, and communicators. For professionals, it represents an opportunity to meet new winemakers and build more conscious wine lists. For enthusiasts, it is an immersive experience of tastings, meetings, and stories.

ONE HUNDRED PRODUCERS AND A COMMON VISION

There will be one hundred producers present, coming from all over Italy. What unites them is the choice to work with minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar, accepting the variability of vintages and the risk of wines that are always different. No “photocopy” products, but “liquid narratives of landscapes, vintages, and personal sensibilities.” This approach is also reflected in the communication: no scores, no technical jargon or codified descriptors. Wine is discussed with simple, direct words, as if among friends. Wine thus returns to being an inclusive, accessible, and shared language.

WINE AS A CULTURAL FACT

In addition to the tasting tables, the fair dedicates a space to books and independent publishing. There will be industry publications, stories related to wine and agriculture, and rare or out-of-print texts. A place to delve deeper, discover stories, and take home food for thought beyond the last sip.

ARTISANAL AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD MARKET

Alongside the wines, the public will find a food market with products selected from artisanal producers: traditional cheeses, ancient grain breads, slow-cured natural meats, fermented foods, preserves, and short-supply-chain sweets. All in the name of sustainability, transparency, and territorial identity.

AN INVITATION TO CONVIVIALITY

Back to the Wine also aims to be an invitation to slow down. Venice offers the ideal setting for an event that celebrates conviviality and slowness. The sunset over the lagoon becomes an integral part of the experience, to be enjoyed with a glass in hand and in dialogue with those who produce it.
