Vinitaly 2026: new exhibition areas, focus on NoLo, spirits, and wine tourism

IN BREVE
  • Vinitaly 2026 will take place at Veronafiere from April 12 to 15, 2026, expanding its offering and focusing on promotion and internationalization.
  • The event will introduce new features such as NoLo – Vinitaly Experience and a pavilion dedicated to Xcellent Spirits, promoting interaction between wine and spirits.
  • Vinitaly Tourism and Vinitaly Plus will be integrated into the fair, featuring an incoming plan for specialized buyers and tour operators.
  • The event will confirm activities such as the Raw Wine super tasting and the Vinitaly Design Award, now in its 30th edition.
  • Vinitaly and the City will bring wine tourism to the center of Verona, offering tasting experiences from April to May.

With the exhibition center already fully booked, Vinitaly 2026 is expanding its offering toward new market segments, strengthening content, and accelerating profiled incoming visitors from over 70 target countries. The 58th edition of the only international event entirely dedicated to Italian wine is scheduled at Veronafiere from April 12 to 15, 2026. Promotion, internationalization, and the business of Made in Italy wine remain at the core, with an increasingly close structural dialogue between the supply chain, catering, and local regions, also from a wine tourism perspective.

“Vinitaly is not just an international trade fair; it is the global platform for Italian wine that interprets the sector’s evolution. In a complex context like the current one,” says the president of Veronafiere, Federico Bricolo, “we are working to exceed the more than 18,500 B2B meetings organized during the event in 2025 and constantly enhance our proposal, updating it to meet company expectations and trends. At Vinitaly, companies, buyers, and institutions converge in the only event that fully represents our offering; a true strength that distinguishes us internationally.”

NOLO, SPIRITS, AND NEW FORMATS

Among the main innovations of Vinitaly 2026 is the development of NoLo – Vinitaly Experience. After the 2025 pilot project, No-Low Alcohol content will find a dedicated exhibition area on the second floor of the Palaexpo. The new space brings together the entire supply chain, featuring Italian product brands and technologies. The Enoteca is confirmed, while the program of tastings, masterclasses, and educational and market focuses—from production to consumption—is being finalized.

Xcellent Spirits is also being renewed, debuting with an entire 1,000-square-meter pavilion in Area C. The project, part of a multi-year development plan and created in collaboration with Gang of Spirits, aims to create a structured connection between the wine and spirits supply chains. The format involves the Spirits and Drinks & Mix areas and includes international masterclasses dedicated to skills, trends, and global market scenarios.

VINITALY TOURISM AND SPECIALIZED INCOMING

Wine tourism becomes an integral part of the event with the consolidation of Vinitaly Tourism, which is also being strengthened on the exhibition front. The program includes a daily calendar of conferences, talks, research, and best practices. Veronafiere has already activated an incoming plan for specialized buyers and tour operators, with B2B meetings in the business point area on the second floor of the Palaexpo and directly at company stands. The offering is completed by tailored incoming experience packages for European buyers. Regions and wineries can activate these in collaboration with Veronafiere, which will organize them before or after the event.

DIGITAL SERVICES AND NEW EXHIBITION LAYOUT

The evolution of digital services continues with Vinitaly Plus, the online platform connecting producers, buyers, and consumers year-round. In 2025, the app recorded 412,000 views and a library of over 19,000 wines from 4,000 companies. Starting this year, exhibiting wineries can contact buyers directly to set their fair agenda without waiting for an invitation from operators. Regarding the exhibition layout, Vinitaly 2026 introduces several updates. Umbria will feature a new regional space in Pavilion D, while Pavilion 2 consolidates Sicily’s entire offering.

EVENTS, THEMATIC AREAS, AND OFF-SITE EVENTS

Confirmed features include the Raw Wine super tasting, scheduled for Monday, April 13, the Vinitaly Bio areas, Amphora Revolution in collaboration with Merano WineFestival and The WineHunter (Pavilion 8), Xcellent Beers, Micro Mega Wines, and Enolitech, the international exhibition dedicated to wine and beer technologies.

The prologue remains entrusted to Vinitaly Opera Wine on Saturday, April 11, at the Gallerie Mercatali, featuring 150 wineries selected by Wine Spectator in the “Legacy Icon,” “Classic,” and “New Voices” categories. The Vinitaly Design Award, the competition evaluating 21 packaging categories for the wine, spirits, beer, and extra virgin olive oil sectors, turns 30. Selections are scheduled for April 3 and 4, with the awards ceremony on April 11 at the Teatro Ristori in Verona.

For the public, Vinitaly and the City returns from April 10 to 12 in the center of Verona. In collaboration with the Valpolicella Wine Route, the off-site event opens up to wine tourism with an Experience Token included in the tasting pass, valid from April 13 to May 3 for visits and tastings at 12 participating wineries. The Vinitaly & the Night evenings at the Gallerie Mercatali on April 11, 12, and 14 are also confirmed.
