Ten years of the Genova Beer Festival: breweries from Italy and Europe and plenty of news

From Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, 2025, craft beers take center stage once again at Villa Bombrini (Genoa Cornigliano)

Genova Beer Festival reaches its tenth edition. The event, organized by APS Papille Clandestine, showcases excellence from the brewing scene. The event takes place on Friday, Oct 3 (6 PM–1 AM), Saturday, Oct 4 (12 PM–1 AM), and Sunday, Oct 5, 2025 (12 PM–10 PM) at Villa Bombrini in Genoa Cornigliano (via Muratori 5). Villa Bombrini will host 17 craft breweries from all over Italy and beyond in its indoor rooms and large park. The festival’s “tap list” includes a selection of over 130 draft beers, featuring a wide range of styles interpreted with the personal touch of the industry’s best master brewers.

WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS TO GET UP CLOSE WITH CRAFT BEER

As always, the program of workshops to delve deeper into the world of craft beer remains central. Presentations include introductions to mindful tasting, stylistic peculiarities, artisanal production methods, and food pairings. Meetings with leading experts and producers are free and accessible by reservation while seats last.

As always, it will be a family-friendly event, offering craft beer and food alongside children’s workshops on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, Beer yoga, and guided tours to discover the secrets of Villa Bombrini. The annual appointment for homebrewers is also confirmed (Sunday, October 5). New this year are the local craft markets (Saturday) and agri-food markets (Sunday, in collaboration with Slow Food).

BEER & FOOD

The food stalls will feature local specialties and more, with options for all tastes and a focus on vegetarian or vegan diets. Gluten-free products will be available on both the beer list and the menus.

In the food sector, we will have Chinese offerings from Dim Sum Tang, pesto and other traditional dishes from Il Genovese, burgers from Masetto, Polish cuisine from Kowalski, fried specialties from Nonno Giuan, focaccias from Pane dell’anno 1000, pizzas (including vegan) from Pomdeter, and desserts from Viganotti.

“Genova Beer Festival was created to bring the public closer to the mindful consumption of an excellent product like craft beer, with a special focus on our local area. However, we have always tried to keep our eyes open to what is happening in other parts of Italy and beyond. Every year, thanks to direct relationships with many brewers, we personally select the best breweries, with particular attention to the most promising newcomers,” the organizers explain.
