ProWein Düsseldorf introduces a new direction for 2026. “‘Shape, Create, Elevate’ are the three keywords we intend to use to guide our future actions and decisions. The motto of ProWein Düsseldorf 2026 will therefore be ‘Cultivate the visionary within you.’ We want to encourage the sector to face the future with determination, creativity, and foresight. As the leading international trade fair, we will give ample space to innovations and ensure we generate sustainable business,” states Frank Schindler, Director of the event. The focus is on innovation, efficiency, and a reorganization of spaces aimed at optimizing time and flow.

NEW HALL LAYOUT

The revision of the exhibition layout is one of the cornerstones of the next edition. The approximately 4,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries will be distributed across Halls 1–7, with uniform surfaces and more readable structures. Distances are reduced by 30%, allowing for tighter visit planning.

The international response has been extensive. France will be in Hall 4, which will also host the preview of the new vintage from the “Union de Grands Crus de Bordeaux.” Germany and Austria will be together in Hall 1, including micro-producers, organic operations, and cooperatives. Some major German brands will also be in Hall 4.

A significant development also for Italy, which will occupy Hall 3 with all regions: present, among others, will be collective stands from Puglia, Tuscany, Calabria, Valpolicella, Piedmont, Lugano, Valdobbiadene, Brescia, Prosecco DOC, and Montello. Portugal will be in Hall 7a, with participation from ViniPortugal, Tejo, VinhoVerde, and Beira.

Spain will occupy Hall 6 with all major areas, including Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Valencia, and, for the first time, Toro. Hall 3 will see a strong presence from Central-Eastern Europe, with Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Moldova, Turkey, plus new entries from Montenegro and Azerbaijan. Georgia, Cyprus, and North Macedonia return.

Hall 6 will feature Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, and South Africa, along with collective pavilions from California, Brazil, Japan, and other countries. The spirits sector is also growing: ProSpirits will occupy two complete halls for the first time, with 500 exhibitors from over 50 nations.

CONTENT, FORMATS, AND TRENDS

ProWein aims to rethink the role of the trade fair, complementing products with new tools for insight and engagement. ProWein Agora will be the social heart of the event, with keynotes, talks, and content dedicated to emerging themes.

ProWein Zero will showcase the rapidly developing no-alcohol segment, with interactive tastings, market data, and presentations from international leaders. ProWein Sparkling Visions will spotlight the world of sparkling wines, with a distributed pathway and a Sparkling Bar in Hall 4.

In Hall 1, ProWein Organic Visions will bring together organic, biodynamic, and sustainable offerings, with tasting areas and educational sessions.

B2B INVESTMENTS

The 2026 edition also introduces new digital services and enhanced buyer management. The Hosted Buyers & Concierge program, supported by a dedicated team, will ensure the presence of top buyers from key markets: Germany, Benelux, USA, UK, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Scandinavia.

An improved product database and the optimized Matchmaking Tool Fair Match aim to facilitate connections between supply and demand. ProWein is thus preparing for an edition, from March 15 to 17, 2026, that intends to set new standards under the guiding principle “Shape. Create. Elevate.
